According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

every new alcoin is the best altcoin, to dump and forget about it, this about the best alcoin that give you btc, otherwise a solid coin is monero, soem say nxt, but i don't really like it, because it was heavily instamined/prmeined
