Well yeah, that's exactly what's wrong with fiat, but bitcoin cannot be issued and controlled by a central authority so they don't need to worry about this. I doubt bitcoin had anything to do with any governments or corporations and was just invented by a smart guy trying to offer a solution to current fiat cash problems and their payment systems.

Well, I'm actually not that surprised… it's just another collection of rumors and Conspiracy theories, you have that with everything there is! If you want to get the peoples' attention the best thing you can do is write something interesting - and it doesn't get more interesting than conspiracy theories, does it?

At least the guy is trying to be imaginative with a twist to make it sound interesting. If we look at it overall maybe that is what we need, some publicity to get the attention and I don't see anything bad coming from it. It seems it is very popular to write in a negative tone, as negative news is faster and easier to sell than positive.
The vast majority of these authors do not even understand the concept of virtual currency and Bitcoin, nor bother to investigate this area.
On the internet now all write about everything, and there are very few serious and professional journalism.
Banks and traditional financial institutions doesn't like us, and they will do everything in their power to stop us.

Conspiracy stories are always funny to read, shape shifters, ET, time travellers and the list goes on, beginning from boogeyman in childhood days, and all the weird conspiracies that mind could perceive, which sounds a bit delusional to many, nonetheless funny to read.

Instead of writing such article, they could do some research on the benefits of Bitcoin and rather write an article which will be more useful to many people.

I like this conspiracy theory too.
But this is basically how media behaves to Bitcoin. I honestly cant see any really good and realistic news about bitcoin in mainstream media and even most of the time at technological sites.(child porn, money laundering, illegal drugs sale etc.)

Yeah but this is probably really only written to attract more readers and get your story shared by as many people as possible. People love conspiracy theories, it's true. And there are always some people who are actually going to believe them!
