This very whiny article ( http://fusion.net/story/124655/why-bitcoins-male-domination-will-be-its-downfall/ ) says that there are not enough women using Bitcoin. So, just as most stupid reporters that talk about "inequality" and other collectivist drivel, they would likely want the government to step in and do something. What do you believe the punishment should be for women who do not use Bitcoin which would satisfy the reporter's thirst for government power?

Feminists strike again Men make up an estimated 96% of the Bitcoin community, which means that if Bitcoin does end up succeeding, as its adherents think it will, and if the people who own Bitcoin see their holdings soar in value, then all of the profits will end up going to what Brett Scott calls the “crypto-patriarchy”. LOL Bitcoin was already worth $1000, all the profits went to men and there wasn't a single article how women were left behind and didn't make money. There's no discrimination here, women can have the same access to BTC as men and government should not be involved.

There should also be some harsh punishments for men who don't spend their days sycophantically encouraging every women they meet to use Bitcoin.

I agree with this. It's not fair that men are more interested in Bitcoin than women. Maybe we should change the Bitcoin logo and add more red roses?

Most women who accept bitcoin are strippers and escorts. Maybe we need a government programm to help develop that industry?

There's nothing we can do about that, simply because Bitcoin right now is still very underground and only appeals to pioneer geek underground culture. In the future it will happen, as everything gets easier.

I think the government doesn't care much about bitcoin that they would care for the female adoption of it. I think that the bitcoin community or bitcoin foundation should promote bitcoin to women, maybe help built clothes startups using bitcoin or other services that would be interesting for women.

This is going to make a lot of people angry....
Women ALWAYS have opition B in life men do not. I believe this is why more men rise to the top, men have no choice but to be a success or a failure you can't use your looks to find a mate and have them support you. Thus men know they have zero choice but to be a success or a failure. When something new comes into play we are attracted to it because we know being on the front of the curve lends a massive advantage. Why would a chick care.. she'll just latch on to someone that has that advantage...
You can start flaming my post now.

I don't think that any government will do anything to force women or anybody else to start using bitcoin. Government always defend national interest and bitcoin is not national interest for any country in the world right now. Hopefully this fact will change once in the future but official opposition to Bitcoin is still very strong, for obvious reasons (no one can control and manipulate Bitcoin and governments do not like it).

The retail part is where bitcoin is currently lagging. You can see pubs or even restaurant but i don't think I've come across shops selling women's accessories accepting bitcoin for that matter. That is where all the shopping and spending take place like paying for beauty products, clothes, handbags, make-up items, handbags and stuff like that. What we can do is to have at least one of these shops accepting bitcoin and there is where exposure begins.
