Bitcredit [CRE]
will shortly update name to
Credits [CRE]

Due to naming conflicts with another currency and the confusion that this may cause, the Bitcredit [CRE] community have decided to change the name of Bitcredit [CRE] to simply Credits [CRE].

The name change will happen on Friday the 24th of april and will be announced here on Bitcointalk and related forums.

The name change in the core client source will happen gradually and within a few days.

Woohoo! Credits has a much nicer ring to it, makes me think we're in a sci-fi movie or game Cheesy

Can't wait to see what this coin has to offer!

I believe the relaunch thread is being posting in a couple hours by the dev, but here's the link to the current wallet: http://bitcredit-currency.org/download/file.php?id=58

Client is currently being modified to fit the new name (and domain of the coin's site)

EDIT: Too late. You found it Wink

Only the name change and starting a new official thread.

THERE WILL OF COURSE BE NO RELAUNCHING OF THE BLOCKCHAIN OR RESTART IN ANY OTHER WAY. Operations continues as usual and the conversion of the client to the new name should be seamless.

Definitely not some kind of testing. Sorry for the confusion.

There will NEVER be some sort of restart of the chain, that is practically impossible.

Just keep on mining. Smiley

Yeah nothing in the block chain or with your txn's or balance is changing, just simply updating the name and showing off the features that have been added this far!

Happy mining Smiley
