Can someone please help me with setting up my Bitmain Antminer S1 ?

I have read 3 different sets of tutorials, even held down the button for 3 secs+ to reset my miners IP to default and yet I still can't access it through it's IP of 192.168.1.99

I've tried through both my spare PC Ethernet port and the Spare Ethernet port on my combined modem/router & still nothing.

I even tried changing the IP addresses on the ports with the ones supplied in the tutorials.

This is driving me nuts, if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it greatly.

Mining isnt profitable anymore. The S1 will not get you something. It sucks up too much elictricity instead of give you some bitcoin.

Is your IP range set to 192.168.1.xxx ? If not, that's probably your issue. On my network, all local IP's are given a 172.16.1.xxx IP rather than 192.168.1.xxx. If that's the case, take a look at page three of this tutorial and it should help you through changing the Antminer's IP: Link

It could also be that the default IP for the miner is something other than 192.168.1.99 for whatever reason. If that's the case, use a program like Advanced IP Scanner to scan your local network for devices. Then try and navigate to each IP it finds in your internet browser until you find your miner. Hopefully that helps you.

No need to download software to find it, reset will put it back to stock.

Sorry but sounds like your ethernet control card is pooched.
Easy test if you have a spare miner or a spare control card.  Cool
Should be no problems to get in, if you can't login to the miner, the control card is faulty.
Resetting ECB's puts a lot of wear and tear on those cards, so if you done that a lot, that's likely your reason.
Those ECB's are cheap made to begin with... instead of buying a Raspberry Pi.

Yeah... unless it's a problem with your other hardware then, the ECB's the cuprit.
Also, remember to put your own PC on the 192.168.1.xxx before logging in the miner.
You might get kicked off the internet but this is what allows you to login the miner.

Hope this helps.

his info above is pretty good.  but lets go to basics are you using a cat-5/6 ethernet cable?

if you are using a cable which I prefer to use are you sure it is good?

if you are certain the cable is good let us know.

I read from some review that the ip address is 192.168.2.xx, maybe 192.168.2.99 if you already reset it.
Connect the miner to your pc directly using ethernet port. Set your pc ip address(TCP/IPv4) to 192.168.2.10 then try to access 192.168.2.99

or

Set your pc ip address(TCP/IPv4) to 192.168.1.10 then try to access 192.168.1.99
