Could I get some tips on my miner set up?

Hello everyone!  I am trying to set up a rig to do GPU Bitcoin mining and CPU Litecoin mining at the same time.  I was hoping that one of you would be able to give me some advice on the set up that I've selected.

32giga of ram? and why such a big hard disk? and cpu mining litecoin.. i don't know how profitable it is. Dunno, if you want to invest 1300$ you should buy an ASIC, a Single SC does 40GHs/s, much more than the 800mhash of that 7970

Where can I get these "SC" cards?  Can I get them off newegg?  for bitcoins on the GPU at one GPU I was anticipating like 750mhs-800mhs  I was playing slowing upgrading more cards in since the motherboard would be able to support up to 3 of the cards I selected which I think would give me around 2ghs.  I have the ram and HD because I would also like to play a game on it every now and then.  as for the litecoins on CPU I'm pretty sure they were designed to be mined on cpu and I'm expect about a 50khs of that on the cpu and on my lap top my 12khs gives me about 1.88 litecoin a day.

I'm all for building a pure dedicated mining first though and then building my hybrid gaming/miner when I'm not gaming (have my laptop for all non-gaming use but it just doesn't have a graphics card).  Honestly now that I think about it building the dedicated miner first sounds like a much better idea.
I'm not sure what an asic or sc is all the guide I read on making mining rigs recommended using radeons for mining.  If you guys could point me in the right direction for some better guides that would be great.

I've also developed a strong interest a programing and such and have begun exploring that world and would like a strong computer for cheap.

I think this is what you are talking about?  So this now special ASIC bitcoin card comes out next month and will it also work with litecoin?  I noticed they have these 600$ 80w single units.  Would those still remain profitable after ASIC releases due to the low power cost.  Do Butterflylabs products work on both lite and bitcoin.

Sorry about all of the questions just trying to figure out what is going on.  I might just build a gaming rig and wait for this ASIC SC thing to release soon I think?

I would absolutely not build any GPU-based mining hardware right now. Even if BFL falls through on the ASICs hardware, their FPGA hardware is pushing difficulty through the roof. GPU miners will be pushed out one way or another in the near future.

If you're buying a gaming machine anyway, then it certainly doesn't hurt to get one that can mine for a few weeks. But in that case, build it with gaming in mind and just make sure you get a solid ATI card to use.

They should start selling them before december. A much much much better thing than the computer you want to buy.

Hell, even the FPGA (The Single) is much better (and about the FPGA there are no doubts, a lot of ppl already bought and received them and is happily mining with them)

Yeah I'm looking at how you can buy their current versions now and then upgrade later.  Now, would you happen to know if the upgrade is a pre-order only option or if I would be able to wait a bit after release and still upgrade.   Also, can I mine other crypto-currencies with theses like Litecoins and name coins?

Not litecoin. As far as i know you can use it to mergemine things like namecoins and other crypto-currencies that can be mergemined together with Bitcoin, and only them.

Thanks for the reply.  I actually emailed the manufacturer before I saw your post and got a very fast response.
I think I'll get one of the current setups on the site and pre-order the upgrades and build a gaming machine separate.
