this virus is introduced as a Primedice hack and is being spread through social medias reddit, facebook, google, etc... and transmits itself through the infected user's social media accounts.

this virus will empty out all your accounts that you log into, like tipbot balances, or Primedice balance

it must also act as a keylogger too, because there has been reports of losing backed-up encrypted wallets too.

There have been many viruses spread as ways to cheat gambling sites or even just 'bots' that people offer up to help you gamble. The thing is not to download anything people post on this forum or reddit etc if you don't know what you're doing as it very likely could cost you.

You, like many others, have been misinformed. Your computer cannot get infected via the blockchain. The problem is that malware writers need a way to send instructions to the malware on computers that are infected, and a way to receive any "loot" such as wallet files, passswords etc. Right now the malware writers use centralized "command & control" servers to do this, these are often shut down by law enforcement, Kaspersky is pointing out the blockchain can be used to send/receive messages with the infected PC's in a way that is difficult for law enforcement to shut down.

You CANNOT get infected via the blockchain, thats just ridiculous - Bitcoin developers aren't that freaking wreckless. On top of that there have already been P2P botnets that work similar to a blockchain so there isn't much new here anyway, just FUD and rumours.

This is true there is some type of virus which is distributed as Prime Dice hack software. Somedays ago some guy started some thread in gambling section and provided link was infected and that entire thread was deleted. I personally tested that and received warning from my internet security provider which was not kaspersky.

i had tested that page which claimed you can hack primedice account but i don't think that is some kind of virus that is pishing page or key logger which send our login details to the provided and get hacked in attempt to get free bitcoins from rain, but that is not a any kind of virus in fact.
