check that transaction on blockchain.info and see is there any comment of message ot that transaction?
if there is, it must be spam advertisement over blockchain network, somebody try to make advertisement to your address.
I got it many times, usually if you use your address on faucet or altcoin related. Chance to get spam advertisement like that is very high.
And worst thing from that spam is size of bitcoin transaction when we send bitcoin become higher and we need more tx fee if there are a lot small transaction that we received Sad

If you are getting lots of dust transactions, send it to a new address by create a transaction using those dust UTXOs only, put a fee less than the total amount. This will help you to save BTC but only if the transaction is confirmed which has very inputslow chance.
I did this before and never be confirmed by network, I only put 0.0001 BTC for tx fee
it contains 16 inputs (from dust transaction combine with small amount of faucet bonuses)
is there any way we select which input that we want to send on transaction?
Like we want to send 5 of 16 inputs, not all inputs together

I received a tiny BTC deposit in my wallet recently.  I don't know where it came from and I hadn't sent or received to or from my wallet in about 2 weeks before the deposit.  Could this be something to be concerned about?

i also received 0.0001 btc from a ponzi website..
their public note was attached in the transaction.
but the truth is that i never deposited to that site..i think they are luring people to make deposit.
i then reviewed their wallet transaction then  found they are always chanding wallet to btc45.net i opened both sites from which payment came and one more which was frequent receiving/depositing funds..
i see oh both site has the same script and designs..
i understood they are fukin ponzis..
beaware of them..dont deposit any bitcoins to them..BTC

Yes, some wallet clients have a "coin control" feature and users can choose the inputs specifically.
If you are using bitcoin core, you can go to "Settings", "Options", "Wallet" and tick the "Enable coin control features" box.

It is the Bitcoin equivalent of "spam" so no real need to worry about it
As above, some companies try to advertise like that. But its controversial

they will stop doing it when the price will skyrocket and even few satoshi will be worth a tons

actually if you spam your address everywhere on those ponzi site, It could be that each of them would send you a small dust, and the sum will be a good reward  Cheesy

There are often Ponzi-schemes which try to advertise for their sites using such small transactions.

Anyway, be happy about the free BTC Cheesy

who would ever go to a site advertised via dust transactions. that alone is asking for problems. yes the coins are free but totally not worth it as it will only increase your tx fee once you tranfer coins.

XCP = Counterparty, which is an altcoin. Announcement thread can be found in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=395761.0.

Well it is still economical to spend the 0.00042 (unlike the 1-sat spam I received), so you should be happy about it.
