Technology is moving us towards a more collaborative, peer-to-peer economy.

I like the idea of being paid with bitcoins, but I would want it to be when the job's finished.

Say I accept to do something for 10 bitcoins, but the currency decreases in value, what happens then?

I don't think Bitcoin is stable enough to not list these offerings in USD.

Bitcoin doesn't have to be stable in order to accept them as currency. If you sell an item an item and convert to USD (usually automated) upon transacting, you will not lose any of your profits.

As long as you're setup to base your item costs off of current value on your exchange site, you've got nothing to worry about.
