I need work very much, and I'd love to earn bitcoins

To get an idea of how many are in the same boat, see how quickly the service called ForBitcoins (referenced by Brad just a couple replies up) has grown in just a few weeks:

There are a few similar services:

Technology is moving us towards a more collaborative, peer-to-peer economy.

We can rent out a room for the night ( http://www.airbnb.com ) or serve dinner from our homes ( http://www.housefed.com ).  We can share with a neighbor ( http://www.neighborgoods.com ) for free or for a fee, and also extend that offer to others as well ( http://www.rentalic.com ).

In addition to the "task related" services described above ( http://www.zaarly.com and http://www.coffeeandpower.com ) here's an example of another novel approach:

Though none of these peer-to-peer services have implemented Bitcoin (yet), that's likely coming:

Is there possibly a Bitcoin meetup or hackerspace in your area?  A connection made there might lead to an opportunity you might not already be aware of:

I like the idea of being paid with bitcoins, but I would want it to be when the job's finished.

Say I accept to do something for 10 bitcoins, but the currency decreases in value, what happens then?

I don't think Bitcoin is stable enough to not list these offerings in USD.

Bitcoin doesn't have to be stable in order to accept them as currency. If you sell an item an item and convert to USD (usually automated) upon transacting, you will not lose any of your profits.

As long as you're setup to base your item costs off of current value on your exchange site, you've got nothing to worry about.

Help Bitcoins by buying clothes, technology, books, etc. through people/stores that accept BTC. This will increase overall value of BTC as well as mitigate unnecessary bank transaction fees.
