Would it be possible to have a alt-chain for p2pool.

As in a p2pool2 that is trying to get a p2pool share.  And there would be ~8500 shares a day or less.  This is good for small miners.  And it is p2p decentralized.

If you keep mining on the old version of p2pool you will soon be booted to your own sub pool automatically and it will be 5% the speed of the main one. But as people upgrade it will get smaller and smaller. If you know python you could just edit the share version to be something different too.. but then you have to convince enough people to stick with your version of the pool.. that would be the hard part.
