Does anybody here have any experience with kraken? I signed up with them a while back, but I've not used them yet.

What is the highest volume, lowest fee exchange?

What is the best exchange to daytrade with?

btc-e for about 5 years now, never seamed to have any problems, and on rare occasions when there is something wrong, they fix it asap, at least it was like that in my cases.
anonymity is another plus, atleast until regulations force them to change that, 2fa just to be sure. Its hard to compete with exchanges that have a long history like that.

cheers

Poloniex is good but seems to be biased towards some definite altcoins, neglecting other perspective ones

My worst nightmare is mintpal.

Did you loose coins on Mintpal?

I got my coins out 3 weeks before, by pure accident, I decided to sell all my litecoins (~50 LTC) and got the bitcoins out of the exhange. And then 3 weeks later, they f***** ran with all the coins, talking about being a dick.

best exchange is probably localbitcoins, esp when you get it on the spot.

not waiting for some bull crap wire transfer confirmation, or other misc problems that you have to deal with.

you may pay a premium, but theres no serious wait.

btc-e.com without a doubt. i tried them all. btc-e is the most stable/no-lag/bug-free exchange there is.

and for the worst: definitely cryptsy. stay away from there.

i think it has not been mentioned so far. i switched over from poloniex to ccedk.com two weeks ago and i am pretty surprised about the exchange. it has less volume for some coins, but it is user-friendly and secure. And the founder is very helpful and supportive. My new favourite.
