人类对全球气候变化产生深远的影响,共同生活在地球上的物种正在遭受各种磨难。近日由康涅狄格大学生态学者Mark Urban撰写刊登在《科学》上新报道指出如果人类再不对行动起来,日益严苛的天气变化可能会导致16%的已知物种灭绝。毫不奇怪的是当我们所共同生活的地球变得越来越暖,那么这种温度的上升将会加快物种灭绝的速度。



气候变化上将会对澳大利亚、新西兰和南美等地区造成最严重的打击,报告中指出有超过23%的物种因无法忍受更高的温度而灭绝。科研人员对过去131个研究报告进行了细致的研究,从而估算出可能的物种灭亡比例。相比较全球进入工业化时代之前,现在的温度要高1.4华氏,这已经导致我们星球2.8%的物种灭绝,而随着温度升高,灭亡率加快,温度上升3.6华氏,灭绝率为5.2%,温度上升7.7华氏,那么物种灭绝将会达到16%。
