What is the most liquid coin after Bitcoin? I mean, what coin is used at most for trading, buying, investing etc?

If you take the trading volume it must be Litecoin.

Most liquid altcoin would be Litecoin, but if you're an investor with at least $100k you would look for volume so Doge, Ripple and Dash would be a candidate as well.

but if you talk about biggest cap for altcoin, ripple is the winner

Of course not. The only coin I love is FAIL and probably VIA in some way (recently disliked SFR, because Roshan is not that active). Others don't matters to me.

Why should people use Ripple when there is already Paypal, Neteller etc which doing exactly the same. So in my view it is doomed to fail as a digital currencies long term.

Also, if you're comparing the Ripple network with Paypal or Neteller, then it's clear that you have not done your research.  Imagine if all the major crypto exchanges become Ripple gateways, we would have one SUPER EXCHANGE in Ripple.  You hear that?  SUPER MEGA EXCHANGE.  If you thought moving crypto from point A to point B was easy...  Ripple will make it easier.  Assuming all exchanges are Ripple gateways that is....
