Hey all,

I have a BFL single available.  It seems to have a problem hashing on both FPGA's 100% of the time.  One works perfectly, but the other cycles on and off.  I have heard this can be repaired by re-setting the heatsink, but I am not brave enough to try it.  It averages 600 MH/s.

The 5970 I want to sell boots fine to windows, but does not seem to like mining.  I am selling it with ZERO garauntee that it can be used to mine.  I give my word it will boot into windows or another OS, and that is it.

I would like 80 BTC for the single and 15 BTC for the 5970.

I've reseated the heatsink before so I'd be comfortable with the operation, but the price is a bit steep for a potentially damaged Single. 50 to 60 BTC sounds more reasonable.

Also what are the temps on this single?

Have you tried RMAing the single?  I had a faulty one and I found the process to be pain free.

So 2 months worth of BTC mining at 600 MH/s is worth nothing to you?

Mega facepalm.

Mega facepalm.

I have interest but price is too high.  Fails once, risk is higher that fails again.  If problem is mechanical (heatsink connection) risk higher still that more problem arise shipping.

Think of as 5970 with bad core.  Has value, but how long?  What is turnaround with BFL if all bad?

Will pay 400 dollars US or 40 bitcoins ship to California.

This --- except I'll toss ya 45btc, but would require escrow or delivery first.

Well you can't blame me for trying =P

Besides - BFL is shipping at between 3 and 5 weeks now (depending on who you talk to). So the incentive really isn't there to pay above retail price (for me anyway).

Take Single to BFL with you.  Test return process and customer services.  Chance you get new ASIC Single instead.

I will buy for $500 if so!  Grin
