Hi.   I've been pool mining using the Diablo client with some success.

And while I know solo mining is a crap shoot, I want to try it on one machine for a month or so.

(Followed a pdf that showed me how to add a user, a password, a port and server capabilities to the bitcoin client)
Started Diablo with those new settings and I see my measly mhash numbers running (averaging about 130 mhash on my ATI Radeon HD 5770).

But in pool mining, where I'm used to seeing several blocks accepted, a few rejected and the occasional hardware error, I'm getting ZEROS for accepted and rejected.

Am I truly solo mining or do I need to configure something further?    MacOS Lion.   OpenCL1.1

All help appreciated and thank you in advance.

If you don't find anything, there's nothing to be accepted or rejected.

Solo-Mining on just 130MH/s you can expect to see results (something accepted or rejected by the rest of the network as the next block)
once in about 30months,
so you just have to be more patient.  Cheesy

Thank you, Lassdas,

I just needed confirmation that that is the case.   I know the pool mining breaks the work up into smaller chunks.   Didn't know if I'd see similar chunks while solo mining.

Cheers,

e.
