Hi,

I am running Electrum 2.1.1.  When I upgraded from 1.9, my "imported addresses" was messed up.  First, I had zero balance there (that was wrong), now I have too much BTC on those addresses (when compared to blockchain).

Bottom line, I wonder how to "refresh" these addresses, as it seems as Electrum is stuck on the wrong numbers.

best regards
S

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

does your client display that it is fully synchronized, or is it somehow stuck on 'synchronizing...' ?

well, I experienced both problems

I decided to create a new wallet and sweep the old.  But how the h*&% does the sweep function work?  I just create a transaction file.  What to do with it?

solved it.  Had to import the addresses first before sweeping. Otherwise it was not possible to sign it.
