Welcome. If you aren't a technical person than secure yourself with one of these companies: 1) https://greenaddress.it 2-of-2 multisignature with nLockTime (possible temporarily unable to spend funds) / Free https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=521988.02)https://www.bitgo.com/ 2 of 3 multisig / Free 3) https://www.coinbase.com/vault or coinbase.com 2 of 3 multisig / insured / Free 4) https://www.bitalo.com/why_bitalo 2-of-2 multisignature 5) Circle.com Otherwise here is a lot more knowledge to secure your coins yourself: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=858604.0Use some common sense as well. 1) Avoid investing in Bitcoin or any alts until you are very familiar the technology. Many alt coins are pump and dump scams. Simply use bitcoins as a useful tool in the meantime 2) Do not mine bitcoins until you go through extensive learning 3) Do not invest or gamble away your bitcoins with any service or person who guarantees returns

3) Do not invest or gamble away your bitcoins with any service or person who guarantees returns
This bears repeating, since it's a significant source of loss for new members... If you see a post or website promising any return (even 1% a day), stay clear. They are called ponzi scams, and they will take your coins and run.

I post for interest - not signature spam. https://vod.fan - fast/free image sharing - coming Oct! Will Theymos finish his $100,000,000 forum before this one shuts down?

Use common sense. Also be cautious when someone recommends something with a referral link. It might be great, but they have a reason on recommending it to you.

It depends on what exactly you expect from bitcoin?
Are you looking for long term investment? Or just want to have technical know-how?? So there are many websites and videos on youtube on bitcoins which will give the exact idea of what bitcoin is all about you must watch rise and rise of bitcoin documentary on youtube that will clear your all issues.

On the more technical side, I noticed that no one pointed you to the bitcoin wiki (where there's loads of fun info): https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Main_PageCheers and welcome!

Do not invest until u are self confident about it and you have thorough knowledge of bitcoins like how it works when to invest where to invest which is the most reliable source for buying bitcoins. you will need great level of research before getting into it so Beware of scams.

Hello & welcome. This is a good place!
.... to find some amazingly helpful people and some of the most corrupt and selfish psychopaths ready to take advantage of the credulous. Skepticism is very important to maintain in these forums.

Hello, welcome to the community 1. For start to understand about bitcoin, read bitcoin pdf: https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf , read this too: https://bitcoin.org/en/faq , also you can find more information in this forum. 2. Choose a right wallet: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (my recommend is electrum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=973768.0 ) 3. Be careful with investment which based on ponzi scheme, cloud mining service too, most all ponzi scheme you can check this out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=878387.04. EXPLORE ~iki
