Main Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=590421.new#new

Greetings

Today i would like to discuss the speculative side of NodeCoin!

As you already know, in order for a currency to be effective, it has to be massively adopted and to do that we need cash flow.

At the moment we have 2 active exchanges: Bter & Alcurex, but Bter is still low in volume and trustability due to the hack, and alcurex is too small in volume. In order to increase financial awareness, and for that we need a bigger market to evolve.

So this is the question i would like us to collectively answer, which exchange should be first for our step-by-step expansion ?!

You are probably asking yourself why can't we go all in? and opt for all the exchanges not just one?!
- The answer is simple, because we are still in the Beta, and we can't manage all the exchanges at once, we have a new version of the client released almost every second week, and that is a problem both for us and the exchanges, as we will not be able to guarantee quality.

Please express your opinion, and lets discuss constructively!

Im using cryptsy, poloniex and bittrex. But I definitely prefer to be at Bittrex.
Cryptsy is not good when it comes support. NXT is under maintenance for a long time. So for NODE , I dont think it will change.
Poloniex is good but Bittrex is much bigger exchange.

Polo did not want to accept Node in the past but Bittrex offers to spotlight your coin for 3.0 BTC which gets the coin automatically added.  Worst case we get declined and have to put down the 3.0 BTC.  Either Bittrex or Polo would be great.

As you already know, in order for a currency to be effective, it has to be massively adopted and to do that we need cash flow.

In terms of exchanges, my preference would be Bittrex even though, without some minimum volume, they're very quick to delist. Sort of a catch 22 with those guys. Not to mention Bittrex seems to be the primary home of PnD type activity.

As for "massively adopted", you need far more than just exchanges. You're going to need to get some faucets out there, some things like dice games and then start out of the box (this community) thinking for other things. I've always felt that cryto would be a prefect match for ingame currency for some mass market type games. Think facebook type stuff.

No problem, i think once we gather all the necessary information, and do some re-work! We could launch an all-out campaign to get exchange's attention!

Agree!

We need all of the current resources to work for us! That is why i'm taking my time to investigate all the necessary steps and options to take!
