Just out of curiosity, would you people be willing/able to buy gold on guild wars 2?
And how much would you be willing to pay, lets say for... 100 gold? Or a thousand?

Post prices and ideas.

Thanks.

I'm too lazy to look up the current exchange rate, but there is an in-game gems <-> gold market. You could set prices off of that market minus X%.

That's a good idea actually.

Would you be interested in EVE Isk for Guild Wars 2 gold?

Probably not, it would depend on the offer though.
Easier to sell gold than ISK, not that many eve players around here.

Guess the idea of diamonds ain't gonna work, since it is so damn hard to get gold in the game.
Any ideas on prices guys? Per.. 100 gold?

I'd be willing and able to buy some gold. Not a ton, probably. But the price would have to be discounted from the trading post $/gem/gold trade that it's worth it for the extra security risk.

How much would be willing to pay for 100 gold for instance?

I did the math on this, tell me if I made a mistake.

100 gold = 10,000 silver.
The current average price is 24 silver per gem.
That means 417 gems =~ 100 gold.
$10.00 USD = 800 gems, so $5.21 = 417 gems.

Maybe $1 off of the gems to gold trade is fair, so using the Gox Average, 4.21/10.95=~ 0.4 BTC (rounded) per 100 gold.

I like that idea.
I will check with a couple more guys see if they like that, then I might start trading.

Cheers, and thanks.

oops, looks like the average was actually 24 silver per 100 gems.
On top of that, currently I can receive 283 gems per gold.. but it looks like I should not do math anymore today, as my calculations from before were either way off or just misinformed.

Forget what I said earlier.

To be honest, one can't really do this (base prices around gems) right now, because the prices are not set yet.
Nobody knows for sure how much a player will have at all times on hand at level 80, after playing for a couple months.
I think it won't be all that much, but I might be wrong.

Still looking for more ideas when it comes to prices guys.
