Yeah, I've put 1 BTC on the next bitcoin lottery. Gonna get rich quick!

But seriously, without real merchants this is going to be the biggest flop since the Amsterdam Tulip Market  Tongue

Ironically, if Bitcoins are to be worth holding long-term, their price will eventually need to stabilize to encourage real trade. Otherwise everyone will hoard their "valuable" coins until it's all too late.

Has anyone bought from Bitcoin Amazon? http://coinbits.com/want-to-buy-something-on-amazon-want-to-pay-with-bitcoins/
or used the Amazon bitcoin-cashback scheme? https://bitcoinbonus.com/content/get-2-or-more-your-purchase-price-back-amazon

Unfortunately I lost 5 btc on a gambling website. I also won a large amount on that site, so I'm ahead. Look, they even mentioned me. "Congratulations ...HCbaNe7 who turned 3.00 BTC into 11.53 BTC." That's me. Not going to gamble any more though.

Anyway, I also bought a $20 shirt with btc.

Too late? too late for what?  gold and silver aren't used often for money now, but they are still valuable to trade. Bitcoins will almost always have some utility value or collector's value as the first crypto-currency (virtual antiques!).

Yes, we need more merchants. I will become one just as soon as I accumulate a BTC stash big enough to work with. I imagine many other "hoarders" will do the same.

800BTC for a laptop! Nice! We have a new top for the BTC Purchase leaderboard.

If you want some property, I have a 3-bed house I'm trying to sell. Will part with it for 21,000 BTC. It's in Leicestershire in the UK, very nice part of the countryside. Any takers? Smiley

None, yet. But that's only because I'm still figuring out wallet security and such. I've been into bitcoin for only about a month now, and it took me half that time just to figure out how to get any of the suckers. Eventually I decided on bitcoin2cash, which worked fine, but took a while. And I was pretty squeamish about sending money through USPS.

I'm not very technically proficient; I am just persistent. But if bitcoin is to obtain mass appeal people really need to figure out a cleaner and easier way of getting and using them.

Anyway, I'm thinking of buying a bitcoin shirt. If anyone thinks they can impress me with their design, show me.

$390,000 new house with 38.75 acres of land and large Amish barn in mountains of the Great North Woods.
$25,000 tractor.
$4000 Bed.
$10,000 other furniture.
$11,000 Vermont soapstone wood stove.
$100,000 upgrades to house.

Yes, I made mult-millions from a purchase of BTC using funds from my business several years ago.  It can be done.

First of all i was using faucets to collect bitcoin, when i made 0.01 bitcoin in two months i decided to buy more, and i bought 0.1 bitcoin from $1.750. In six months i totally made my total amount 0.24 with some small Works and on 2017 December i sold them from $15.000 and put the Money in my pocket. That was quite good earning for me. 6 months later i started to invest in altcoins but i lost nearly all my earnings there with the longtime market crush.. I was lucky with BTC but not with the alts..

As far as I can remember its steam wallet. I was shopping for some games and ingame items. Also gifted some of my friends few games for us to play with during weekends. Roughly, I spent around 0.3 BTC. It may not be a huge amount for others but for me that's the largest that I purchased so far online. Right now I'm into hoarding as much BTC as I can for I do believe that BTC will skyrocket 2-3 years from now.

What's the largest purchase of a real-world item (not money) that you have made in BTC?

I haven't made any purchase yet using Bitcoin. I need to convert it first to fiat before I can use it. Last December, I sold some coins for Bitcoin then converted it into money to buy mobile phone. That is what I'm currently using. I considered my mobile phone as an investment because it has higher specs which I can use to crypto related jobs.

I only spend Bitcoin to buy items that support my performance on cryptocurrency such as laptops, computers, and smartphones. And I also made several transactions to pay for eating at the restaurant using Bitcoin because I saw the writing, the restaurant where I ate received payment with Bitcoin.

I also do the same thing with you, using bitcoin to add to my work device at home. Maybe I plan to buy some equipment for mining.

By 2017, I bought a computer graphics card from a local online store with bitcoin. I still find a way to secure my purse and so on. I'm not technically proficient; I just persevere. Firstly I used the hose to collect bitcoin, when I made 0.01 bitcoin in two months, I decided to buy more and I bought 0.3 bitcoin from 2.800 dollars. That's a pretty good income for me. I was lucky with BTC but not with alts

The largest purchase have made so far in bitcoin was $200 and that was when bitcoin was around $1000+ early last year. Could I know then, I would have buy more, though that's the only amount I need for that moment and period for a particular reason.

I've bought

Tea from nmteaco
a PS3 from Ampeater (30 BTC)
A big case fan
Going to be buying magic cards
A laptop (800 BTC)

these posts from 2011. now seem unbelievable Cheesy interesting to read this topic. My biggest purchase i ve made was around - 0.04 BTC (Casino)

No wonder people don't want to spend their coins after reading posts like that one. He paid 800 BTC for a laptop. Now he would be able to get a laptop made of pure gold and still have enough money left to live happily ever after. I'm not spending my coins and betting on BTC going up to at least 50000 USD per coin in the next 5 years.

I didn't. I just heard other people doing it. I was only making gifts in bitcoins and my friends were very happy.Since at this time the rate rose, the gift grew in price. Heard about buying cars, houses, tours, etc. But he did not.

No) this currency is not for purchases. Especially now. When it stabilizes, then we can talk about it. Now it's just nonsense. If someone managed to buy something very valuable last year, he was very, very lucky.

Good dream. Why not? Everything is possible in the crypto world. If Bitcoin billionaires buy islands, why cannot you do the same? As for the purchases for BTC, I do not make them currently.

Most of the Btc I had accumulated is through bounty programs only.  I made big purchases quite lately when prices where about $8000 or above.  Now that the prices are gain down by so much margin,  I am again at loss by good amount.  Thanks to the bounty earnings,  I am overall on the positive side.

The posts above makes me nothing but to say Hoah! Shocked I can say that my purchases are nothing compare to them. Anyway, the largest purchase I made with btc is only about .0005 (around $2) for prepaid loads Cheesy. Honestly, I'm willing to buy more expensive goods than that using btc but the only problem is I can't find a store/establishment which accepts btc or any crypto as a form of payment near in my place. I just hope that adoption of blockchain technology here will do come true soon.

I think the big charges we have made in ever is the online purchases and that was not costly but up to $10 i have spent for that but i heard that people have bought with bitcoin the best purchases like property and other jets while cars are also bought through bitcoin it is true that bitcoin served many things.

I had to buy a car for one of my children and the buyer accepted bitcoins. Luckily I read about Lazlo and his pizzas, so I bought back those bitcoins when the price dropped. I had the money at the time and I wanted to pay with bitcoins, so it was not as if those coins were meant to be hoarded.

The car opened up a world of job opportunities for my kid and it is generating an monthly income for my child now. If this goes down to ZERO, then I will have bought something of value with my bitcoins.  Grin
