According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

They switched over to a new server recently.  May still be working out the kinks.

I just tried to log in and see in the upper right hand corner

"STATUS: DISCONNECTED"

maybe all three of their bitcoind servers or down??
