Who designed those coins?
Be far some of the ugliest things I've ever seen for physical coins... Jesus
Considering dogeshit isn't worth spit at the moment I don't know if you'll sell these.. especially at 3K asking price.. lmao
Are these made of any precious metals at all or is it just a cheap chinese stamp with a coating on it?
I respect your opinion, we all have different taste.
Nevertheless, I would like to give you a little background information about these coins and answer your questions, even though this is not my sales thread, since I am a serious collector of these coins.
The coins are made of a zink alloy, so they are not made of presious metal as you point out.
The coins are minted in Spain, so they are
not Chinese.
The coins was originally sold by Cryptoimperator at a relatively cheap price, about $10 dollars for the normal edition, this made them affordable for most people.
Other coins like Lealana and Casascius is not for everybody (I am also a fan of these coins), since the premium is rather high - so yes the coins
was cheap.
The pictures in this thread does not do the coins justice, what makes these coins special is the hologram, which is one of the best made (this is my personal opinion).
Here are some pictures taken by elianite, they are not photoshopped, but taken with a good camera:
Please note this is the special edtion, which has a serial number, total population 100.
I will not comment on the sales price ($30), that is the sellers choice.
Further, these coin is part of a series. This is the first coin,
10K DOGE, total population 500.
Later came the
100K DOGE, made of 1 Oz .999 Ag (fine
silver), total population 25.
These coins are hard to get, last recorded sales price was 1.1 BTC, but I would not be surprised if the price has gone up since.
The last coin in the series is the
1000K DOGE, 1/2 Oz .999 Au (fine
gold), total population 10.
This coin has not been minted yet, so there is no pictures available, except for this sketch:
There are still 4 available gold coins left if you are interested, but they are not cheap (~$1200):
