Hello all,

I currently have a gridseed 5 running with Minera running to make LiteCoins on a Raspberry Pi. However, for a long time now I've been looking to find a way of mining BTC with Raspberry Pi and the gridseed or even setting something up to duel mine or just be able to switch between SHA256 and Scrypt. I know about Hashra and it seems absolutely ideal, however everywhere I go says to download it from hashra.com which hasn't been working for a long time and also with this I really need an SSH login with password. From this is there anyone who knows what I can do to get the Gridseed mining BTC and even perhaps the ability to switch from BTC to LTC as in hashra.

PS:
Does anyone have a copy of the latest hashra???

You can do it with your Minera too, you need to use this cgminer fork https://github.com/gridseed/usb-miner/tree/master/software/cgminer

Build it in your Minera system, then copy the binary "cgminer" to /var/www/minera/minera-bin/custom directory (with a different name like cgminer-gridseed), go to the settings page and enable it under "Custom miner".

Finally you have to setup it with this option: --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=800,chips=5,modules=1,usefifo=0,btc=16

Or follow this post, section 5A.2 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494625.msg5448813#msg5448813

EDIT: Here is the binary built for Minera: https://mega.co.nz/#!ucEGkBJC!3fdUPgjrubnF59-CUvVKw2aNTWTxu9Rg6jWxXJduEpM

Get Minera. Your next bitcoin mining dashboard. Donations are welcome

Hello there,

Thank you for the reply, I hope to have the Gridseed working with the the tutorial that you linked to soon Smiley

As for a rely to where the best place to buy the Gridseed in Europe, I got mine from Ebay second hand for £20 but apart from that I'm not too sure where you could get the Gridseed in Europe as I didn't really shop around too much after I saw the Ebay deal on the Gridseed I now have. Sorry as that's not really of much help to you probably Sad
