I wonder if Clipse is hoping pirate will pay out on the 12th...

This. I wonder what Clipse will do once he realizes Pirate will never pay back.

He's known that for a while. Probably sold the shares for 30-40% of their value at least. I got over 70% back on mine, although I was expecting the crash and knew to sell asap.

[13:54] <Morblias> pirate ever say anything about his whole deal? do you expect him to ever pay?
[13:55] <Clipse> nope hes just keeping quiet, I will deal with that once I deal with pool payments. Far too much to cope with all at once :/

Some of us realized that when the odd "Investment Option" scheme was imposed.

Or even earlier, like when Clipse was spending more energy complaining about too much hash power being directed to his pool than beefing up the server.

Maybe the name should be changed to PenaltyPool?   Cheesy

I'd wait a day or two since he might actually be away right now. I would also file a police report and start figuring out where he lives rather than getting him a scammer tag.

So, exahash, when do you stop mining? Cheesy

I agree... it's not like the tag will "hurt his feelings" or something.. We are talking about thousands of GBP/$ here. Do we have any details from the pool domain registration?

Scammer tag means nothing.

My other idea is not public appropriate. It does involve a shovel and fertilizer though.

It's annoying to see people still sending hashing power to the pool. Must be out of town.

Really bummed to see this.  Have talked to Clipse a lot over the past year on IRC and hope for some news but recent history has shown me what hope gets you...

Blockchain.info stats show that coins were transferred somewhere periodically and all the time while miners were waiting for payments...

Well yeah, I never did understand quite why someone would not be able to pay out for a period of ~2 months...

For my own proxy I pay out at worst every 48 hours. If I'm doing contract mining I get paid in advance, so I have coin on hand to pay people, if I'm hopping I have a pretty steady stream of payments going into my wallet, so I have coin on hand to pay people.
If Clipse was being contracted to provide hundreds of gigahashes of mining horsepower for months on end (and honestly, nobody's buying hashrate at >130% PPS at the moment), I can't believe that such a contract would only be set up to get paid at the end of the period. I didn't point any of my own hashrate at bonuspool simply because I didn't understand what sort of business model could provide a 30% bonus, but not be able to pay out for months.

I guess if Clipse is known to the community there's some hope that some of you will get some money out, but given that people know Trendon and Ryan and that lot and they still got away with a fortune I don't see it happening...

I am really bummed seeing this, it really makes this week the worst one I had this year. Hopefully my life goes back on track tomorrow.

You are the moron. Read exactly what happened before commenting. We never 'gave him BTC for him to pay us back 130%' It was a mining pool initially offering 110% payouts weekly (which were paid every week until early July). Right after pirate announced the default, Clipse stopped paying miners out and announced he will have the funds ready to pay out end of september. I don't feel like typing the rest, read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=118353.0
