Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Bump,
The posting rules for this forum are tough to figure out, when all you want to do is post. I didn't start in the "Newbies" section of this board because, there is not much useful info for me. I was more interested in the mining aspect, so with google as my search tool, I searched the board for mining info, ie GPU/ASIC, profitability calcs, mining pools, mining software, rigs etc (sprinkled with a few pirate searches), plus I used IRC for some quick stuff. Only after 4 weeks of reading, did I actually find myself in need. In need of posting that is, on some technical stuff...but to my surprise, after creating an account today, I couldn't find the post or reply button for the boards I needed, nor were there any hints during signup about the restrictions...Which I have to say, was a very frustrating experience.

wow, newbie restriction. took me quite som time to figure out what to do to get around this. i have registered before that little thing was introduced and spend most of the time here reading as not logged in guest.
maybe you add a small hint for that restriction to your help section for already registered, older users. would be helpful somehow...

So is the restriction lifted automatically? I thought you had to post in the sticky thread.

Imagine how awful the forums would be if not for these restrictions?

Looks like this could get really meassy without restrictions... Very high Volume Board, lots of "SPAM" even in the newbie-forum ...
