I  am looking at 3 miners Bitmain S5, and S4 as well as spoondiles SP20. The factors I am looking at are best energy use per GH/s and most reliable long term (I have heard there have been some issues with the bitmain S4's PSU but I haven't been able to validate that) The S5 and SP20 I really couldn't find any constant problems with. Noise isn't an issue for me. These miners will be ran in a storage unit that won't ever be over 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Could you help me find the information I need?  Thank you!

yes i can give info on them.

The sp20's I ran up to 12 at a time.
The s-5s' I ran 3 at a time.
The s-4's I never owned and have been plagued with psu issues that is why I never purchased them.

The sp 20's scale watts per gh and hash rate.   they can clock as low as 800gh and do .45 to .47 watts a gh. they can scale up to .7 watts a gh at 1600gh.  Do Not for 1 minute consider them over 1600gh

They can only be purchased used without warranty they stack well I have stacked them 6 high with 0 issues.  they have a really good gui .

The s-5 runs pretty flat .50-.52 watts per gh 900gh to 1300gh   to go to 1250gh -1300gh you need quailty psu's with a little cooling help

the gui is not as good.

The s-5 can be purchased new with a warranty .

If I were you I would get some of both as they work well together.
I would want to pay 375-385 max for an s-5
I would want to pay 400 -425 for an sp20.

I would not want  and s4
Do you have any psu's on hand
LASTLY  what is your power cost per kwatt.   10 cents or more do not do it.

my sp20 review

LOL... looks like the guy I was going to have you contact has already replied Smiley.

If you're looking to buy new, your choices are exceptionally limited... you can only get the S5.  If you've got 205V+ power, you can also purchase an S4+.  If you're willing to purchased used gear, then your options open up a bit.  You can take a look at the SP3X series by SP-Tech.

S5 and SP20 require external power supplies, so that needs to be factored into your purchase decision.  Also... a storage unit?  You've got reliable internet connection and electrical service in a storage unit?  I must be thinking of something different than you are here, because I keep envisioning that show "Storage Wars"...

some more reviews

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=951758.0    an avalon 4.1 is nice but costly and quiet .  if you found these cheap like 375 shipped to you home they would be good.  these can be purchased new for 500

at www.ehash.com  these need a psu

my s-5 review.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=907219.0

jonnyb is correct in mentioning sp30 and sp31 if you have power at 205 volts or more.

and yeah the s4+ uses 205v or more power.  but I do not recommend it.

I can not do more stress on needing to know

your power cost
your power limit

If you have silly cheap power under 4 cents and you have 10kwatts available the s-3 second hand could work since it is very cheap

Thank you everyone for the great information! So first with the new miners I'd get a new high quality psu to go with it. Electric here is about 10 cents per kilowatt hour. And my miners run in a storage unit connected to my house. I have an Ethernet cable that runs out there and has worked fantastic. I guess I'm looking for a single home miner that I  will be able to run as long as I can before the difficulty gets to be too much. Thank you for all the facts on each one!

It is summer time.  If you have hot summers mining is a little harder.   I have a entire thread on my summer mining, it's turned into a longer project then I thought getting temperatures that I'm ok with.

I would suggest starting small and building from there.  With that you can test the storage unit how hot it gets, and how miners run.

I made an offer to notlist3d  on this link

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1020826.msg11354705#msg11354705

I think he does not want them @ op I can ship them to you for about 30 dollars use one as a push and one as a pull.

If you are close to New Jersey zip code 07731 shipping is less maybe 20  for the 2 fans

I have 2 of these fans:

I have 2 of these   I can send them for shipping only  maybe 30-35 bucks.  Helps me clean my garage.

these fans do 550 cfm each or 1100 cfm for 2
