Paypal is reversible in all forms even if its sent as a gift and bitcoins are not.
Learn from my mistake it was reversed almost 3 weeks after the trade was completed.
Paypal also likes to reverse payments and then lock up the account, I've been waiting almost a few months now for my repayment.
But its very common for scammers to try this with paypal and bitcoins.
Your best bet is to withdraw cash and buy them.
There are a couple of vendors that sell and you can get your coins very fast like bitinstant.
