I knew for a long time that I can't withstand watching this kind of pictures, but it's only recently that I learned the name of this phobia.  Apparently, not everyone is concerned.  Are you?

Again:  BE ADVISED:  watching these pictures can really be disturbing, especially if you were not aware that you just can't watch them.

The holes don't bother me, it's when they are photoshopped onto a human body that it becomes bothersome. Not because of the holes though, but because of the thought of what kind of pain and danger I would be in if I had those holes in my body!

Well, good for you.  I can tell you the first time I realized I can't watch this kind of things, was with a picture of a particular plant.  There was no human skin involved, just the particular shape of this plant was made of a bunch of wholes.  I don't know what plant it is, I don't wanna know, and don't ask me to find one on the internet.  Just thinking about it gives me the creep.  It's a really a weird and surprisingly powerful phobia.

After watching the above video, I'm here to say that I'll never eat another pancake again. It's...it's...it's as if the thing is alive just prior to flipping then, once done, the scars remain starring back at you. Having the scars facedown will no longer bring solace to my once pancake eating enjoyment.

That said, so long pancakes, and hello waffles. OMFG! Not you, too!

This "phobia" is a bunch of FUD. I watched the video, expecting the worst, and felt nothing. I even got bored halfway through.

Humans are not averse to holes; in fact, there are holes all around us. Our eyes, our nostrils, our ears, are all examples of holes; yet, they are the things located on the face of fellow humans, the part we find most attractive.

I'm curious. Does Swiss cheese (obviously the kind with holes) bother you?

My apologies if the picture bothers you, it wasn't my intent creep you out! I'm genuinely curious.

Dude, I can't believe you went there, you insensitive bastard! Just for that, your YapCo.in membership has been revoked. Turn in your coins ASAP.

Leave it to Dree to somehow include Bruce in the conversation.

No, swiss cheese is fine.  Please do not make such experiments, though.  You'll get as many examples as you want when googling trypophobia.

Most of the pictures are photoshopped and not real, just so you know. However, I think it is human nature to not enjoy holes in the skin.

At some point I did regret having created this thread, but now that I think of it, it does help to talk about it and try to withstand watching these things.

I did find the name of the plant I was talking about, for instance.  It was in the youtube video above.  It's actually the lotus fruit pod:

It's still a bit difficult to look at it, but it's getting easier.

Fruit loops is better. That's my kinda cluster of holes..

Mods: Please remove above FBI post. OP explicitly warned of viewing this potentially disturbing footage and I see no reason for why commenters should then embed them in the thread itself. Thanks.
