I know this is my first post here, and it may look a little spammy and i'm sorry for that, but I'm doing a little market research around the bitcoin community to see how many people would be interested in trading their bitcoin for silver bullion (bars, rounds, eagles) with bitcoin, and trading their bullion for bitcoin?

I already have the system in place. Site completed on a local.dev sever and ready to upload to a live server. Bullion secured at a high security facility using state of the art HD security Cameras at an offsite location.

So you are checking if people would be interested in this after completing your site. Pretty reckless I would say. You want to sell silver exclusively for bitcoin or bitcoin will be just additional payment method for your service? How exactly are you going to prove if you are legit and not want to scam people, because with bitcoin payments alone it is possible...

Sorry, i should've made myself more clear. I'm going to have to hire someone to implement bitcoin as a payment option. So before i spend the money to do this, i'm seeing if there is enough interest in trading with bitcoin. I also will accept credit cards, paypal and maybe bitcoin..

I've used amagimetals.com before to buy some silver, they are reliable, solid service and guess what, they only accept BTC, don't think it gets any better.

I can help you with web development and payment integration, including bitcoin of course Smiley

This community is pretty receptive on precious metals. There seems to be a couple good service providers already, though. One is Amagimetals.com for purchases, and Vaultoro.com (not in U.S.) for normally non-physical delivery, which you may want to check out.

I have never exchanged my coins for bullion (gold, silver or platinum). But I know some of my friends who had bought gold silver eagle coins in exchange for Bitcoins, from Silk Road. There was a trusted vendor there in SR at that time. But that was years ago. My friends are out of Bitcoin sector, and Silk Road no longer operates.

To help our cause, we want people to buy Bitcoin, not the other way around.  Roll Eyes

There are too many companies trying to jump on the band wagon to make a quick buck out of Bitcoin... They see it as a NEW method to make more money.

They invest nothing into the community, but rather try to see how much they can get out of it.

Your case would have been much better, if you came in with this suggestion and considered what would have been beneficial for both parties.

Example : I want to start a company, that use Bitcoin as the sole payment method to buy and sell Bullion at discounted prices.

Try again, with something more positive for Bitcoin users, and you would have bigger success.  Wink

translation of OP:
"i want to get rid of my silver supply to have a hoard of bitcoins instead"

if silver was so valuable, why would you want to replace it with bitcoin?

if however your not a silver owner and are instead a silver retailer, that will purchase silver elsewhere to then offer it out for bitcoin.. then im afraid that smart investors wont want to swap bitcoin for silver, especially at a retailers excessive spot price compared to other methods of obtaining silver which we can do.

I'm sorry but this seems incredibly rude.

The point of Bitcoin is that people want to have it as money. Also, the community is more valuable the more people that participate. If you want nothing but people who use nothing but bitcoin you're going to have a very small community, which corresponds to very small Bitcoin value.

Bitcoin is not some exclusive club. People can do with it what they want and try to get out of it what they want. Nobody uses bitcoin in some capacity without adding some amount value to the community.

translation of OP:

It seems the translation is
" I want to sell silvers and to you guys and make some bitcoin out of it"

Because you ask about this then people will be interested in trading bullion for bitcoin in your website perhaps but not to trade / buy bullion with their bitcoin because there are a more reliable options and that is amagimetals

If you are setting up bitcoin payment option, make sure that you have discount with the price of your item lower when paying with bitcoin compared with payment with credit card. Using bitcoin is almost complete zero fee. I hope you have taken that into consideration. That's what the community hope to see in the first place.
