So my antminer s5's briefly reach 80-81 degrees C when I had left them for a while without enough airflow, but they were both set to shut off at 80. Now on one of them, only one board will hash properly and the other has 4 o's and a lot of x's and dashes. It's drawing about 345 W from the wall and I know the power supply isn't an issue.
The other one has the same PSU connected but won't draw more than ~35W and won't mine.
Do you think this is because they reached high temperatures? If so how would I go about getting them repaired? Other suggestions?
Thanks!!
Hitting 80C is not a good thing. Could it be? Possibly it's hard to say without more info.
What is the PSU you are using? Have you tried a different one to see if it makes any difference? (They should not be hitting 80c either).
My standard S5 suggestion is :
First I would look at this and check connections -
