50BTC 3% PPS VS Deepbit 10% PPS

Deepbit has a higher hashrate.

Pool hashrate means nothing  Roll Eyes Choose a 0% fee pool and maybe one that pays out transaction fees too.

Don't mistake your hashrate with pool hashrate. The btc you mine depend on your hashrate, the pool hashrate only reduce variance, wich doesn't matter if you choose PPS.

TRUE but reducing variance is a definite importance. Not finding a block can definitely mean lesser earnings.

Not with PPS, and it seems you are looking for a pool with PPS

And anyway, if not PPS,  high variance doesn't mean lesser earning, there is also the chance to find more blocks in a short amount of time.

But don't choose a 0% PPS pool.

Apart from the downtime you might experience since the pool op isn't paid and needs to spend time away from the pool earning money, a 0% PPS pool is likely to become bankrupt at some point.

Between 50BTC and Deepbit? Would you say the two are comparable?

Comparable yes.

Both pay you X BTC per share of work your computer submits.

One just pays more than the other (50btc = more).

The amount you get paid per share for 50btc is 48.5 / difficulty = 48.5/2.6 million = roughly .00001865 per share.
