Quad 7970 Newbie Question

I have never mined before and just got my 4way 7970 computer setup. My question is should I do pool mining with this setup or run solo. If you suggest pool mining any suggestions are appreciated.

My second question is what mining program should I use with the setup I'm going to be running?

Any help is apprecaited, I am a complete n00b right now when it comes to mining

Pool.  ABC or 50BTC.

CGminer is where it is at.

Do a search for "CGeasy" it is a little java app that will automate the setup of the card.

Yup, CGminer works well.

There isn't much of a reason to go solo nowadays, with 0% fee pools you'll get less variance.
