When you deposit btc to your wallet on either CCEDK coming soon, and BIt-x already able to activate, the btc is only converted to USD if that is the currency you request, otherwise EUR, but only convereted when you cash at atm or pay in any shops, restaurants, online shopping etc. This is one of the main diffrences from normal prepaid cards, and avoids the volatility risk in the ups and downs of bitcoin, as you can decide yourself when you decide to excahnge your bitcoin to fiat!
