Are Kir and I the only ones who believe in the utility of BTC for Facebook apps? Nobody else want to jump in here?

I think it's a very good idea. Huge potential audience.

While I have reservations about whether facebook will allow it once they notice bitcoin being used I have no problem trying to convince developers to use it. Then if facebook tries to ban it the developers will tell them where to go lol.
It is definitely something worth pursuing.

One solution would be not to use bitcoins directly on facebook, but "vouchers" that can be exchanged 1:1 for bitcoin. To make those vouchers less currency-like impose rules such as expiry after 30 days.

What would the drive be for using bitcoins on facebook though?
Surely not privacy or anonymity? Just a convenient way to spend them, or just a way to get people to use them?

You can already purchase facebook credits for games from facebook themselves. I don't think they would consider throwing their system away for one like Bitcoin.

Sandos, see the very first post in this thread for an outline of the advantages of bitcoin to Facebook developers.

Can you purchase facebook points with bitcoins? I think they're actually called Facebook Credits and that is an interesting question...
