 Cheesy

Where can i order pizza and pay in BTC?

If you live in europe:

Background-Story:

An Interview with Jeremy Sturdivant aka “Jercos”, the young man who sold two pizzas for 10,000 BTC 5 years ago on May 22, 2010 in what would come to be recognized as the first transaction involving a tangible good or service in bitcoin history.

On May 22, 2010 Laszlo Hanyecz famously declared success in his four day quest to trade 10,000 BTC for “a couple of pizzas”, posting on a bitcointalk forum page:

“I just want to report that I successfully traded 10,000 bitcoins for pizza. Thanks jercos!"

Still can't find a pizza store in my country that would gladly accept bitcoins as a form of payment. Sad But will it count on the celebration if ever I exchanged my bitcoins to fiat then buy pizza? Or that wouldn't?

I have just found a great excuse to order a massive pizza on the 22nd!

Would be nice if everybody in the world together bought pizzas equalling the same amount of btc used back then Wink

I wonder if that's an exploitable gap in the market. How many orders could someone get if he advertised here offering pizza deliveries for a specific area of a country on Bitcoin pizza day? If he had transport and enough orders in a particular region he could make handsome profits. There must be Bitcoiners all over the world longing to buy pizza on Bitcoin pizza day in areas where no pizza services accept Bitcoin.

that story could repeat itself easily if bitcoin skyrocket again, i mean now you would pay what? 0.03 for a pizza? those 0.03 if bitcoin reach 10k-100k one day(not impossible), would bring a whole new topic about it, maybe not as a good as the original though

Thats a silly number there. I dont know how much are you paying in your contry for pizza but In my county now you could purchase a large pan of Pizza Hut for 0.04 btc (converted to fiat ) and thats including delivery cost as well. If bitcoin to reach 10k  then we will be paying in satoshis for a large pan of pizza

anyway OP there is already a similar thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=80844.0

Nice vanity donation address you have there. It's also one of the famous Bitcoin story I heard. I would really like to see people attending this remarkable events in the five location listed. It seem to far for me to get there.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

I am going to celebrate it, with treating my co-workers with Pizza(since it is a small company and on Friday, there are even less people there, it shouldn't cost me too much).
Luckily we have this in Austria http://www.lieferservice.at/, who accepts Bitcoin for Pizza.
