Currently were at 498825 total members at 3:32pm Eastern Standard Time. When does everyone think bitcointalk.org will reach 1 million total users? I'm gonna guesstimate April 20th, 2020

The more widely known bitcoin becomes the more people will show up here. My guess is late 2017.

I'm gonna guesstimate April 20th, 2020 499122 as of see timestamp of this post. At the current rate, it'll take ~280 days to accomplish the task. Please check my maths.

the topic should say "when will btctalk reaches 1 M accounts", but I guess everyone understood it. It also counts members with 0 posts and 1 or 2 minutes logged

I'm just referring to the stats give by Bitcointalk. Of course 1/2 of the are dummy accounts.

If some bot goes on overdrive, we will reach there pretty quickly. Every now and then we see new types of bots - the latest one seems to be advertising universities in Chinese.

I think everything depends on the price again. If the price booms like it did in December 2013 - one million users will get here quickly. If it will still be swinging (like today) - it will depend on how aggressively will Bitcoin integrate in our society. The more integration - the more potential enthusiasts we'll have here.

We're going to celebrate half a million users hating Vod? Well the forum is growing steadily with accounts, although there are a lot of shills. Unless there is another spike in regards to Bitcoin we should hit the number sometime in 2016 or 2017.
