Wondered if anyone here has created their own website store & to not rely on ebay store.  Bit of a random question i know... we dont seem to have a business section on this forum.  Getting traffic seems to be the challenge + giving people the confidence to buy.  I plan on using shopify unless its a bad idea? & hey they take bitcoin also!

Any tips tricks ideas would be handy, currently i sell clothing btw. I will keep ebay store open but try to channel traffic from it - not sure on what is against ebay TOS atm, any ideas for that? sending out a site advert leaflet with every sale wont be enough.

& yes i am waiting on open bazaar also Smiley

As far as I know you can have your own website and advertise it in your ebay store, don't know if you need to be a top seller to do so.

Magento, WooCommerce, great platforms, don't know how Shopify works, for choosing your ecommerce platform you should test a few.

Do you want full control of your store or something already done and you pay a fee to use it?

Why spend $30 a month?

Try Opencart.  Version 2 looks really good.

While there are a couple of options out there to transfer to fiat your only real chance of making a truly independent store is in crypto but even then it's really only in alpha, nobody yet has managed to make any open source scripts or SCIs that are simple to use so you can create your own stores.

There are a ton of solutions.   Try woocommerce(for wordpress).    Also, I like magento even though it is fairly resource intensive.

I dont know the ebay rules, ive read you cant have a link to you store in the listing. Then i see listings like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1st-Class-Stamps-x-100-Mint-Sheets-Cheapest-on-ebay-Express-Postage/321677927694?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140107083358%26meid%3D69fa8d6c167c403ba603c9f036572afa%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D181741361425

with link site wrote in the photo wtf.

I want the store full built and easy to create, i would be willing to pay a fee if its good.

i'd love to have it crypto only but not sure if i'd get the sales, i have a ton of womens stuff to sell also.  its good to have as a payment option.

Voting with 2 hands up for OpenCart. It covers every need of an intermediate online business.
