My bid of BTC0.75 still stands.

Since you've had no other offers, I think you should reconsider mine.

Thanks.

That's a bit low for a graded coin. Most ungraded coins sell for 0.7-0.8 BTC.

I have considered it and it is way too low.  Your bid price would be considered for a loose ungraded coin, but not for an MS66.  I am not looking to give this away.  I am just looking to move some of my duplicates.

Thanks for the offer.

Sorry I cannot accept this offer.  If you want a loose .5 coin that is ungraded, you get one from camolist for around that price.

Thanks for the offer.

Most ungraded Casascius coins are of the same quality of the graded ones, they just haven't been sent to ANACS to be slabbed and numbered. It's not like these Casascius coins actually get traded or used, passed around among people. They just sit in drawers or display cases.

I'll go up a little bit, but I think my price is quite fair, I think 1.6x face is decent. My offer remains open if you change your mind.

Good luck, get as much as you can for it!

I am not sure why you are offering a multiplayer of the face value of a coin. The value of a physical coin is going to be derived by the amount "loaded" onto the coin, how rare the coin is and what condition it is in as well as the reputation of the seller as to how well they package the coin, how quickly they ship, ect. Each quality is added to the other qualities. There is not any kind of a multiplier in this equation.

The reason why graded coins tend to sell for more then ungraded coins is because the owner of the coin has endured the expense of grading the coin and the risk that the coin may not come back as a high grade. A MS66 for a brass coin is a very high grade and is going to be very rare. I am also going to go out on a limb and say that you are not qualified to say with any authority as to what a particular coin will come back as, especially after looking at a few pictures on the Internet Wink

Good point on the ANACS fee. The multiplier is merely a way to compare one offer price against another or one coins sale price or value against another coin. The factors that go into the multiplier are face value, scarcity, demand premium. The multiplier isn't the equation, it's the answer. You're right that I can't grade coins, not in the slightest way, but you gotta agree that most of these coins are not handled or "in circulation" in the traditional sense.

DJ, I'll add the ANACS fee to my bid -> BTC0.85 (are there any other bids on the table?)
