So, what do you guys think about the vote in Ireland?

Now gay people have equal rights.
And it was chosen by the people, not the government.

Thoughts?

disgusting but inevitable when you consider how many billions of dollars go on bainwashing the younger generation to believe a man inserting his penis into another man's anus is "equal" to marriage and child rearing. there's no standing up to hollywood and other mass media.

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

Quite remarkable, and worth mentioning the strong Catholic ties Ireland has historically held that they overcame in order to vote for equality. Savvy move by the government too for a national referendum to prove this is supported by the nation.

You must really have a sad life to deny others joy and happiness just because of your retarded religious beliefs.

Its people like you who make peace in the world next to impossible.

I will never understand why parents have a right to chose who they can adopt but parent-less children (including those not born yet inside the tummy of a surrogate mother) do not have the right to chose their parents...

Great news. I was very surprised by it to be honest. Was expecting a no vote from what is usually considered a very devout Catholic country.

I'd love to see the faces of some of the people who voted no, especially the religious leaders in that country.

You should try bumsex. It's great. If you're not into dudes try persuade your gf to take you up the arse with a strap on. It'll change your life I swear.

Once a man's marriage is over with a feminoid, the state regularly inserts its enormous penis into his colon anyway.

There is a giant cock with each of our names on it waiting somewhere out there over the horizon. It may as well be attached to someone you love.

Hahahaha, this is one of the funniest ways to word this I have ever read. It's almost poetic!

True, this shows how the Catholic church is losing its power over peoples' minds, same thing had to be done in my country for abortion, it was approved with a national referendum, also a 'Catholic' country.

It shows the way for the rest of the world.
Unfortunately, a small set of homophobic people have a very loud voice and people think their view is the view of the majority. This vote proves otherwise.

I'm glad for Ireland. Why would anyone give a damn about people personal life, whether they gay or not? Marriage is a way to make families stronger, it should work for every family.

The Catholic church might be losing power in regions such as Ireland. But it remains strong in countries such as Croatia and Poland. Try to legalize gay marriage in Poland, and you'll see continuous riots for months. Although Poland is an EU nation, and its citizens are subjected to extreme forms of brainwashing, they are not going to legalize this crap for the next 100 years.

It's unlikely that it will happen in red countries(Russia, China, especially North Korea), it will always happen in free and democratic countries.

Define "free and democratic", as you have categorized the United States as "free" and Russia as "red". In the US, citizens are under constant surveillance. Their phone calls are tapped, their financial transactions are scanned, and even their emails are constantly checked by the state. If this is what you call as "free", then with all due respect I disagree with you.

I dunno about Chinese and North Korean attitudes, but it's very clear that Russia is not a place that welcomes gay folk.

'Democratic' countries at least put on a veneer of inclusiveness.

Seriously, even if you think it is "disgusting", no one is forcing you to watch anything so what people do behind closed doors should be none of your concern provided that it is between two consenting adults.
