That's according to ex-Reagan / Bush Sr advisor Bruce Bartlett: “Many conservatives live in a bubble where they watch only Fox News on television, they listen only to conservative talk radio — Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, many of the same people,” Bartlett told CNN’s Brian Stelter on Sunday. “When they go onto the Internet, they look at conservative websites like National Review, Newsmax, World Net Daily.” “And so, they are completely in a universe in which they are hearing the same exact ideas, the same arguments, the same limited amount of data repeated over and over and over again. And that’s brainwashing.” "Bartlett asserted that it was a bigger problem for conservatives than liberals because they did not have their own network for a long time, and then they "drank very heavily from the Fox waters."" http://www.rawstory.com/2015/05/ex-reagan-adviser-fox-news-is-self-brainwashing-republicans-into-a-radical-fringe-party/

LOL, ROFL, LOL...
MSNBC watcher?
I'd say most people that are serious here are Libertarians. They don't fall for the 'tricks' of emotional leftists or the of the arrogant right.
If you stand back and watch the old rich white woman call the right old rich white guys with no diversity, you'd have to laugh a little. Considering there is ONE democrat that is an old rich white woman going up against at least TEN on the right that are white, black, male, female, hispanic, libertarian, etc..., etc... and decrying they are not diverse.

No, the tea party was started by the Koch brothers and others. As far as conservative vs liberal, it makes no difference. Either way your political views as a voted are not being represented unless you got a few g's to bribe a politician or two. Both parties are incredibly corrupt. I say this as a liberal. It makes no difference who you vote for.

Pretty sure the emergence of the Tea Party was because of Fox News antics.
Actually, Ron Paul unofficially started the socalled tea party back on Dec 16th, 2007 when his moneybomb commemorated the anniversary of the original tea party back before the American Revolution against Britain. Officially, Rick Santelli is/was a stock exchange floor commentator on CNBC (the US market channel) and there's a youtube of his rant back in '09 that sparked people across the board being pissed at the bank bailouts and the like. Republicans were becoming fed up w/ big spenders in their own party and many independents and democrats were on board. However, the tea party got co-opted by Fox and certain elements of talk radio by taking what it formerly was (fierce opponents to spending) and trying to drive it into something different (patriotism, war, religion, etc) which defused the former importance and then alienated indies and democrats away from the new material that isn't up their alley. Then, as Rand Paul made the case that we shouldn't be arming terrorists in other countries a few years ago, the neocons along w/ Obama and Hillary had their way to create more terror outlets over their by screwing around in Libya and Syria and now we see what the fruits of all of this is.

That's an accurate rendition. Although there is a hard core "tea party conservative" base in the Repub now, which is highly influencial and will likely get more so.
