I bought three of these routers a few days ago from HushPi.

Stocks were extremely limited and they sold out. I have decided to sell one of them to make a little bitcoin. They retail at £79.00 GBP ($122 USD). Please post or pm your offers.

Works much better than Anonabox. It appears much more secure and if you put in a sim card with a data plan you can have mobile privacy.  Works with your wifi too. Smiley

Ideally want to sell within UK but can post anywhere. If you live in or around central London I can deliver in person for a bit extra.

How simple is set up?
I'm interested but want to know a bit more.
What do I need to do exactly to set it up?

You basically just plug it in and connect to the wifi. You then visit http://192.168.8.1/ in your web browser to access the admin interface. Here you can connect to your wifi (bridge connection) to create an anonymous access point. If you don't have access to wifi then you can use a sim card with a data plan instead. It works as a repeater or if you click the tor icon then all your connections will go through tor. Any more questions then just ask.

Why would you need to use one of these and not just use tor? What are the additional benefits?

Unless things have changed I think Anonabox only works with your wifi? The Gtor works with wifi but also works with mobile networks when you put in a sim card. This makes it portable and has a rechargeable battery. I don't think Anonabox can be taken out of the house? It doesn't have a battery? it doesn't have a sim card slot? That's what I meant by better. Hope that clears things up for you?  Smiley

I have a Vodafone R207 (Huawei E5330) which seems to be the basis for this G-Tor.

Is there any chance I could flash this into it?

I like the idea of a torified 3G connection.

While I know that this has been sold, I didn't know products like this were on the market! It's definitely very interesting and something that I will need to look more into purchasing. If I have this correctly, then this router will automatically anonymise your incoming and outcoming connections, both on wifi and on mobile network, right? But won't this impact the speed? I'm going to look more into it.

You mentioned that this retails for £79.00 GBP ($122 USD), but if you don't mind, would you mind sharing the price at which you sold it? Just for future reference. It's a really neat little thing! Do you have plans to sell another one of your remaining two of these?

Though I missed the sales bid but I feel like knowing more about the product, can it be used anywhere in the world, will it give me a dedicated ip address in UK or USA or just a router, I might look for one if It could be useful to my project.

It seems hushpi is not online anymore.   Undecided

This looked very promising.

Who bought this one? Is it working good?

Anyone?

If this works well I want one too!
