There are reports of single stores in California who generate 20+ million in sales each year.  Is there some reason you believe this industry does not generate revenue?

As far as "making money" is concerned there is only one state where people are allowed to do that, Colorado.  All other state medical marijuana laws require participants to operate as non-profit or not-for-profit entities and that is exactly the charge the DEA has used to raid dispensaries in California.

I know a lot of dispensaries out here have had issues staying open. Super tight regulations, liscensing expences/industry specific taxes, flooded market, perishable product, and high overhead all make it a difficult buisness to profit in. There really isn't as much money in it as people think, especially if you are doing it legit and by the books.

In my area... It's like every 1 in 10 people are growing a large illegal crop for profit...... Growing weed is huge money.... I could easily grow 3 lbs of pot every 2 months using up a couple hundred bucks worth of power every couple months......
