Why is Sharkcoin surging in trade volume?

Strange that this coin doesn't really have any true value to cryptos and has a 50,000,000 premine out of 400,000,000 coins. Is this just a pump and dump coin at the moment? Why is it so hotly trade on the only one exhcange, a Chinese one only? More volume trading than LTC at the moment, am I missing something about the coin?

As a long term investor, Trading volume is not the only criteria to get you investing in that! Such as the features and dev team are also important factors!

My feeling it's probably because it's not BTC and that it's only one Chinese market. Until it hits an establish market, it's kind of China's personal crypto of choice to avoid regulation I gather.

Originally it was trying to be anti-scam type of project, even though it has a 50,000 premine out of 400,000,000, IPO and a super block scam that supposedly occurred too. Just strange that it's doing that high of a volume with no public news.

Not “nobody”, I can testify to that personally but I’ll cheerfully grant you “no-one noteworthy”

As for Shark, it's been branded differently in CN, they use a different coin logo and it's been listed on CN boards for aaages. It may well be perceived locally as a less unpalatable, perhaps even safer, alternative to the recent crop of blatantly cynical evanescent offerings.
