http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2015/05/25/shock-poll-81-of-al-jazeera-arabic-poll-respondents-support-isis/

Quote
In a recent survey conducted by AlJazeera.net, the website for the Al Jazeera Arabic television channel, respondents overwhelmingly support the Islamic State terrorist group, with 81% voting “YES” on whether they approved of ISIS’s conquests in the region. The poll, which asked in Arabic, “Do you support the organizing victories of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS)?” has generated over 38,000 responses thus far, with only 19% of respondents voting “NO” to supporting ISIS.

Quote
Al Jazeera Arabic’s television audience is largely made up of Sunni Muslims living in the Arab world. Its biggest viewership numbers come from Egypt and Saudi Arabia, along with a large amount of satellite television viewers in the United States, according to research estimates. AlJazeera.net is most popular in Saudi Arabia, the United States, Egypt, Morocco, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the Alexa webpage analytics site. Al Jazeera claims that it has over 40 million viewers in the Arab world.

Why this doesn't surprise me? First of all, Al Jazeera is funded by Qatar, which also happens to be one of the main supporters of the ISIS. Also, most of its viewers are in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, countries where radical Islamists enjoy widespread support among the general population.

pretty shocking and depressing. i talk to lots of muslims including some with some quite extreme views but they dont agree with islamic state. guess its the sunni/shia thing with a lot of sunnis who live over there preferring a sunni regime no matter how extreme to a moderate but shia dominated one.

Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls an extremist: give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call ‘the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of ‘life', never abandon the principle of struggle.

You might be living in a Western nation, where the view are more moderate. As I had posted earlier, most of the respondents for this poll came from countries such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia, where the views are more extreme. For the average citizen there, ISIS is definitely preferable to the secular regime of Bashar al Assad.

Because Internet polls are really reliable...

Can someone translate the question in the poll?

I'm a bit skeptical about this and no credible source could be found.

Polls like this are definitely always unreliable, especially if they're political that being said though if you have enough of a number voting a certain way it's hard to deny the maths and given the way the middle east acts it's not surprising that there would be supporters amongst muslims. The larger the poll sample the more accurate it can get, while this poll isn't that large it's much larger than anything western media has managed to come up with on their issues.

Or why they don't help the Rohingya in Myanmar

Right now ISIS is busy fighting a different sect of Islam and they have their hands full butchering innocent people. It's not like they have the resources or capabilities to just jet around the world getting involved in other sects' fights when they're struggling to hold the area they've seized.

I will agree with the poll if ISIS helped Palestina or Rohingya, but they didn't

Although it is currently banned, the Islamic Brotherhood enjoys widespread support among the Egyptian general population. The main reason for this is the Egyptian labor migration to the Middle East. Secular Egyptians, who go to work in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, return home as religious fanatics. This process has been ongoing for many decades now, and as a result in Egypt we have one of the most religiously radical societies in the world.

That's what ISIS is fighting for, to create an Islamic state. There are groups in Africa who are fighting for the same thing. The problem is, their version of an Islamic state is one in which people they don't agree with politically or religiously get murdered. This includes the murder of other Muslims. You have to agree to their very warped view of Islam, otherwise you are a threat to them and will be murdered, even if you are Muslim. They are barbarians.
