A local jail offers free room and board plus free electricity. Would you go to jail (voluntarily) with your s5 so you can mine for free?
I heard people would go to jail for stealing electricity to mine. I think it is better to go to jail so you can mine, instead of going to jail because you are stealing electricity.

Free electricy, but your lifetime wasted. Also your name would appeared on the crime record, for bitcoin.
Also the police shouldn't let you bring the miner.
And there's a lot of better way to generate bitcoin other than going to jail
Why don't you try it? I just find this question is stupid, no offense.

It would ruin a lot of careers. In no way is jail worth free electricity. Even if you made massive profits... you giving away your freedom and hopefully a clean record would be horrible decision.
I pay a pricey electric bill each month to mine. To me it's worth it to make ROI.
Most "free" electricity the whole story is not being told IE a lot of cases kids with parents paying. Only situation I lived in ever with true free electricity was student living and it had a cap of 25 dollars per month PER roomate. So I was not a jerk and did not mine or my roomates would have owed more each month if i used the above average.

I think it was partial trolling. It should have been speculating what some are doing to get free electricity. Or amount of free electricity we think there could be out there that miners are using. Instead it was a question that has a obvious anwser. No one should pick jail. |

I beg to differ. Here are the economics of going to jail voluntarily vs. staying homeless: 1. Jail = free food and drinks. Homeless you have to beg for every meals. 2. Jail = free shelter with air condition. Homeless you have to sleep under the bridge. 3. Jail = free education. You can study to become a lawyer or doctor. Homeless - no library to study. 4. Jail = free mining (not with s5 but with a usb miner) . Homeless- you are being mined by jerks There are so many advantages for being in jail vs. being homeless. |

Lol... The best advantages as listed and also the best advice I have seen so far... Yes, I do believe that being in jail would get you those things for free, but do you think that you will be left with any career for your life ahead after coming out from Jail??? I don't think that you like to roam at different places, don't you like the freedom of meeting new people everyday instead of just sitting under some shelter that too air-conditioned???  |

Personally I won't became homeless or go to Jail for some coins, live has more value for me.. |

some one may decide you have a pretty face or a nice butt. Even if you are into that type of sex some places may decide you should do 5 guys a day. Not the one you like. While not every jail has wide spread rape and or sexual assaults many do. BTC is not worth that particular set of risks for me. |
