The original is if you like cheesy black comedies - it's a Roger Corman film, Paul Bartel directed and played a roll in it as did Mary Woronov who starred with him in Eating Raoul - it was also one of Sylvester Stallone's first movies. The "remake" Death Race, I haven't watched and won't as it is nothing like the original and just a rip-off of the name.
