The only rally I expect, is a few months before block halving in 2016. I can't see much happen this year, at least current price seems strong enough to not go below $200.

Agreed

Anyone who have mined during the end of 2012 still remember that the block halving immediately cut mining income by half and the diminishing return was so obvious that many switched off their machine and buy. So that drove the first wave of bubble at spring 2013, then capital outflow from China drove the second wave at the end of that year

Right.
Seem like right now price is little up or some exchanges.
Nothing major will happen this year on market.
So to think of it price wont pass 300 this year everything is stable, someone did mentioned that dollar will collapse in next few months but this not gonna happen cuz is only one stable at the moment

I think we could enter the beginning of a potential bubble by the end of 2016.
There are a number of things that could be bullish for the price -

NY Bitlicense
COIN ETF
Gemini Exchange

Plus we have adoption creeping up all the time, new businesses, corporations integrating bitcoin into their payment systems.
The halving in 2016 could play a big part too, naturally the price will rise & the amount of coins supplied will be less, people may make a move in autumn to buy these cheap coins before the price goes up.

Don't be so negative my friend, the coins are cheap atm, I advise you all to buy whilst you still can.

Honestly, I hope we have 2+ years of cheap price. In the future it will be incredibly hard to make 1 BTC monthly. Now if you are lucky to have a decent salary, it's pretty easy to cut fiat on irrelevant crap and be buying BTC monthly and storing it.

In my words. (Possible dollar collapse not taken into account).

  • Summer 2015 up to ~$700
  • Autumn/Winter 2015 down to ~$400
  • Througout 2016 stable as fuck at around ~$400
  • Winter/Spring 2017 next rise to ~$2700
  • Summer 2017~ $2000

Time and price can deviate from here  Grin (worldwide adoption/use cases found)
  • Summer 2018 ~ $14000
  • Autumn 2018 ~ $4000
  • Summer 2020 ~$67000
  • 2021 to 2024 ~ $20000

For all we know the next bubble could just go right to $40k or something and not come back down due to manipulation who knows for sure.  If some big guys get involved and they need the price higher and stable for reasons beyond just playing dice games and buying pizzas it could happen.

Thanks for this. That means 2018 I don't have to be an electrician anymore. (Apart from wiring my project houses I would have bought)

In the future I would like to buy a house with btc. Possible?

Bitpremier has a proper weird selection but it's a glimpse into the future.

I would've thought BTC would be the perfect vehicle for property transactions. All the traditional dicking around you have to do, bank transfers, contracts, deeds, could all be streamlined with it. And if you chuck in buying international property too...

Buying a house was a nightmare of paperwork.  How would bitcoins solve that?  At least in the USA the realtors pretty much have a monopoly on listings so you have to go through them and pay their ridiculous commissions.  And even if coins did become more popular then the industry would lobby the government to pass laws so convoluted that it would possibly be worse than using traditional methods of buying a house.  Maybe I am a bit cynical but most of the real estate industry are basically parasites and they won't be removed easily.
