Amazon is going to be higher then forums or ebay on purchase. So you are fighting a losing battle there in my opinion.  Not to mention you are not buying from maker so your paying new or higher then new price and have zero warranty.

And as far as a rig cheap and can make a lot... that is a lot to ask if it was this easy everyone would mine.   A big factor is not the machine but your electricity cost and if you have import tax/vat.

What is your electricity cost?  And do you have a import tax or vat?

You will need to know these numbers.   We can tell you not much without them.   Electricity cost you should get a bill once a month and can use it to find it.  And vat/import should be easy to know as it's based on country normally......

Again I ask what is your electricity cost?  And do you have a import tax or vat?

OP needs to change attitude a little if wanting others help.  It almost makes me wonder if it's a troll it's so bad.

It may be that Bitcoin mining is not for you. You will almost certainly be surprised then to learn that down the road that your income from Bitcoins will diminish over time as a result of the difficulty adjustments every two weeks, and the halving of the reward in the first half of 2016. This i all independent of the price of Bitcoin, which varies as I hope you know.

This will not prove to be a way to "get rich quick", or even slowly.

Sorry to disappoint, but it's VERY unlikely that Bitcoin mining will help with your college plans. You can learn something about Bitcoin via mining with your parents footing the electric bill, but your financial returns will be small (i.e. will likely be less than $1/day).

well any amount of money works for me even if its a small amount. i can save it up and add in interest and make more money from what i have. this is just a small way to increase the amount of money. thats what most people seem to use it as and id like to try and i will try and get the info needed. but til then i need to know everything else first. i need a url and a pool i can join and just start earning ok if you can do that that will be great and needed. dont worry about the dang hardware ill get it once i earned some money from mowing some peoples yards. i have cgminer 4.9.1 and a btcguild account so tell me what i need to do from this point with what i have already.

okay so you do not pay your power.  you are in High School.

So your parents pay the  power bill?

If this is the case tell us the power company's name.  What  state you are in.

Here is why my state is New Jersey my power company is first energy/JCP&L   so my summer rate is 16.9 cents  cooling is 1.1 cents this = 18 cents.  No rig makes money at 18 cents a kwatt.

So if you are in a high cost area for your power and you buy a 600 watt miner everyone loses  money.

What I think people are trying to convey is that the most likely outcome is that you'll spend $100 on hardware, and mine only $50 in return. You might be just as well served by buying bitcoin and hoping it appreciates in value. Please consider:

https://www.coinbase.com/

In terms of the specific items you mentioned. BTCGuild is your pool, should you actually do any mining. The specific cgminer software isn't relevant until you have a specific kind of hardware. You may also find that your mining hardware already has the required software "built in" (i.e. a version of cgminer).

The questions about electricity are still relevant. While you may not pay the bill, will it matter to those that do if you run your computer 24 hours per day, or some mining gadget that seems like a noisy 500 watt heater? That's why all the questions at the outset.

You will make more money getting a part-time job at a fast food joint than you will mining bitcoin, plus you won't piss off your parents by hiking up their electric bill.

Were talking about cent's a day from running on a computer mining bitcoin.  Your parents will spend more in electricity then you make.

Also it's not a get rich quick scheme I suggest getting a job to pay for college vs trying to mine it.

Basically what we are saying is that if you want to mine bitcoins at a profit you may have to buy something like this mine:

Your going to need tens of thousands of dollars to get stated.
Think of mining like the lottery. Your "hash rate" determines how many lotto tickets you get and therefore determines your odds. It is possible to find a block mining on your home computer, but it is very unlikely. Just like buying 1 lottery ticket. The mines you are competing with are at a scale that gives them the equivalent of thousands of lotto tickets.

kainthefallen,

all this business about reading & learning, buying equipment, finding out how to use it, whether or not it's profitable, and how to pay your own bills, it all sounds very difficult and inconvenient for you.  Would it be easier for you if we all just sent you our hard-earned Bitcoin for free instead to pay for your education?

Lol do yourself and all of us a favor and just buy bitcoin directly from an exchange. This is a very easy way to mine bitcoin, takes zero electricity, and almost no risk.
