That was my thought aswell.  If your in US and looking for somewhere to deposit or withdrawl it would be worth it. But i'm already set up elsewhere.

Espically seeing forum getting hacked made me realize I don't care to have this info all over for a few bucks.

Does it work only for US people ? also can't we just put some fake informations ? won't that work ? of course email have to be the correct one to verify it . but you can create new one , don't see what the issue then (speaking about circle and not bitcointalk)

I believe it is just US.  The problem with "fake information" is first against TOS (could be laws with it dealing with money sending).  So ethically and legally it's possibly bad.

But main thing is you might want to use it one day, if you did it would be a pain if there is a account with fake info stopping you from creating an account.  As they do check part of it with phone i believe.  And I'm sure before offer like this they blocked most IP phones (google voice, etc)

It is over at this point. Believe it was actually over yesterday if I remember right.

The biggest thing circle has is no withdraw to checking fee's.  That is bigger thing than the 5 dollar promotion, it was a gimmick to get you to look at them.

yeah very easy to creat multiple acount creat new acount claim give away withdraw and creat acount again
better we use twitter verification (authorized app)

even then there is a way to circumnavigating it, no system is 100% secure(maybe only the vernam cipher)

these giveaway are always bad, they are abusable, and when they end everyone vanish , and go dump their miserable reward...
