I have been using Sure Spot messenger for a while now and I love it. It is open source and features end-to-end encryption. Like some of the newer messengers it also allows the user to delete their content at any time. My only criticism was that they did not take bitcoin donations.
Today I went there to ask them if they would consider a bitcoin option. I was too late. They already do! The last update allows payment right from the app. Nice.

So what other apps allow bitcoin payments or donations? Are there any alternate apps for common software that you know of?

Cheers!

So you mean like tipping people with btc over the net? Well there is this site https://www.changetip.com/
That also, but i just meant any app that uses them to do anything. SureSpot is just a messenger program and not specifically bitcoin related. I'm interested how bitcoin is being implemented in apps.

Apparently Wiper used to do that but they had some problems, never used it though, it's android/ios app.

Hey that's a good example. Messenger, Voip, and a bitcoin wallet all rolled together. Thanks!
